Privacy policy.
Who we are
Dprime Solutions Pty Ltd ("Dprime", "we", "us", "our") is an Australian digital agency based in Sydney. We take privacy seriously and handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it. If anything here is unclear, email hello@dprime.au and we will explain in plain English.
What we collect
We only collect information we actually need. That usually falls into three buckets:
Information you give us
- Your name, business name, email, and phone if you choose to share it
- Messages you send through our chat, email, or forms
- Billing details when you engage us as a client, handled by our accounting software, never stored on our website
Information we collect automatically
- Basic analytics about how you use our site (pages viewed, device type, approximate location)
- Server logs, including IP address, for security and debugging
- Cookies, described in the Cookies section below
Information from third parties
- Public information about your business, if you are an active or prospective client
- Data from integrations you connect, like Google Search Console if we run SEO for you
How we use it
We use the information we collect to:
- Reply to your enquiries and deliver the services you engage us for
- Send invoices and handle payments
- Improve our website, services, and internal processes
- Send occasional updates if you subscribe to our list (you can unsubscribe any time)
- Meet our legal and regulatory obligations
We do not sell your personal information. Ever.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as much as they need to do their job. Current examples include:
- Google for analytics (Google Analytics) and email, where relevant
- Meta for referral measurement via Meta Pixel on Facebook and Instagram
- Dprime Hosting servers located in Australia
- Accounting, backup, and monitoring services, all subject to strict confidentiality
If a legal request requires it, we will comply. We will push back on anything that looks overreaching and let you know when we are allowed to.
Cookies and tracking
Our site uses cookies to keep it working, measure usage, and remember your preferences. For a full breakdown, see our Cookie policy.
Your rights
Under Australian privacy law you can:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong or out of date
- Ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal retention rules
- Complain about how we have handled your information
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@dprime.au. We will get back to you within one business day and resolve the request within 30 days.
How we protect data
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, and disclosure. That includes:
- Australian-based hosting with encryption at rest and in transit
- Strong access controls and two-factor authentication on all admin systems
- Daily backups kept for 30 days
- Limited access on a need-to-know basis, reviewed regularly
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it to deliver services, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes. In practice that usually means:
| Category | Retention |
|---|---|
| Enquiry messages | Up to 2 years |
| Active client records | For the life of the engagement plus 7 years |
| Payment records | 7 years, as required by Australian tax law |
| Website analytics | 26 months |
